Dog Heros

Watching the AHA Hero Dog Awards on Hallmark tonight.  Amazing doesn't even begin to convey the meaning of a dog!  My two dogs are my life.  They make me happy, sometimes they make me sad, there are ALWAYS there.  They make life better, I feel for people who have yet to meet their souldog.  Soul Dog-a dog that is matched for you by God above.  Ossian is my souldog and I couldn't have asked for a better one.

I learned tonight that one of the great people in the world not only is a huge advocate for Animals and their rights but owned a Saint Bernard when she was younger.

Miss Betty White.   My Hero!

Monday

Water Bottles

Water bottle and your dog. Why this topic? We are babysitting my in-laws two dogs, both of which are not trained well at all. Because I believe in positive renforment training, it's hard to work with her two (Roxie and Rusty) who do not realize I'm in charge. The water bottle is amazing in the fact...if they are doing an unwanted behavior, I squirt in their direction or at them, and their so shocked that the stop the unwanted behavior. Then of course you have two options, one staying NO or STOP when squirted or two after squirted give praise, and a treat if handy. It works great when ur like me and get home from work and just want to rest, u can still train but you can also stay in your comfy chair.
